Morse Code Scavenger Hunt
There are 2 separate days of the year in which Samuel Morse is remembered: January 11 and April 27.
January 11 is recognized as Learn Your Name In Morse Code and on April 27, we honor Morse's
memory and contributions to technology on his birthday.
With the library closure due to COVID-19, we haven't been able to do much in the way of programming. It's limiting and odd with our presence being purely online these days.
This scavenger hunt is a simple little way to take patrons on a tour of our website, while giving them a fun challenge to do while under stay-at-home orders.
Library Morse Code Scavenger Hunt
These are clues that were/ will be used for our library. Header including Library name, clue # and instructions have been removed so that you can add your own.
Clues took patrons to 4 different locations mentioned in the code: Library kids blog, adult blog, twitter account and facebook page. These have been generalized to fit any library with similar social media access.

And of course, a blank template
I realize not everyone may have these accounts so feel free to use this blank template if you need to change things up a bit.
Fontmeme.com has a fantastic generator that I use and one specifically for morse code. Click here for the link. In publisher, just copy and paste the generated word and create lines underneath each separate letter.
Feel free to use my images on your own library hunts!
