These books were tagged (sticky noted) with 3 -4 keywords to help describe them.

Now either the subject matter was especially compelling to this months library visitors or the keyword-sticky-notes were a hit but this was BY FAR the most popular book display of the year. 

Usually my book displays are changed monthly . . . depending on what's happening. This display was changed 3 weeks later because it only had 2 books left. 

Keywords were taken from book descriptions and Goodreads. 

Where on Goodreads? When viewing a book, below the summary is a "Genres" list. Click on "More . . ." then "Show All . . . ". You will be taken to a Top Shelves list. This is how other people have listed this book on their account.

 

 

This book display takes a single quote (1 or 2 sentences) to give a general idea of a book.

Paper sleeves were made to be wrapped around the each books front cover with the quote, a full image of the book and its current Goodreads rating.

  

Here is one sheet of my paper sleeves.

 It's a full page portrait sheet divided into 3 equal sections. In order for this sleeve to completely wrap around a books front cover, I taped scrap paper to reach between top and bottom edges. That seam does not show unless you look inside the book.

 This display features books and their state settings. These are graphics that I made/ adapted to fit my needs. Feel free to use them in your own book displays!

Each book had a slip of paper attached to it, telling what state the book was set in.

 This one didn't turn out like I had envisioned. The concept was a set-up that made books look like they were the focus of an Instagram book photo challenge. 

One of the authors I follow on instagram, Chani Lynn Feener, creates the most inviting photo challenge pictures and those were my inspiration.

Unfortunately, my end result fell flat - that's just part of the game.

Keeping with my personal tradition, the YALSA TTT logo was recolored and attached to the top of each book spine.

 

For the display, I printed off several speech bubbles in varying sizes. Each books got the sticker on the spine and a larger speech bubble as a book mark sticking out from the top.
